Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle Tier List 2026: Best LRs, TURs, Teams, and Beginner Guide

Type:Blog Date: Author:admin Read:13

Building a useful dragon ball z dokkan battle tier list in late 2026 is harder than simply sorting units by their biggest attack stat. Dokkan has reached the point where a character can launch absurd 50-million-plus Super Attacks and still get me killed if they eat the wrong enemy Super before attacking.

Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle Tier List 2026: Best LRs, TURs, Teams, and Beginner Guide

The current endgame rewards complete kits. I want guard, damage reduction, dodge, reliable slot-one defense, support, healing, strong leader skills, and a way to survive bosses that can erase an unprepared rotation in one hit. Raw offense still matters, but the days when I could call something top tier because it produced a huge Dokkan Mode screenshot are long gone.

The 11th Anniversary introduced powerful characters such as Super Saiyan 4 Goku (DAIMA), Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta (DAIMA), the Super Saiyan 4 Goku/Vegeta combination, and the Ultra Instinct Goku/SSBE Vegeta pairing. Then the Global Dokkan Campaign 2026 pushed the ceiling again with six major LRs: Namek Super Saiyan Goku, Final Form Frieza, Super Saiyan Gohan (Youth), Perfect Cell, Kid Buu, and Super Saiyan 3 Goku.

As of October 21, 2026, GDC has just ended, the 400 Million Downloads celebration is underway, and the next huge target is already visible on the horizon: the 12th Anniversary.

So this ranking is a snapshot, not scripture. I am judging units based on current endgame performance, leader skill quality, team access, links, consistency at 55%, utility, and how much I actually trust them when a boss can end the run with one bad rotation.

I. Dokkan Battle Tier List Overview

   A. What the Tier List Is and How Units Are Ranked

A Dokkan tier list measures how useful a unit is in the current hardest content, not how cool its animations are or how rare the card looks.

My tiers work like this:

S Tier: Meta-defining units. I can comfortably build difficult-content teams around them.

A Tier: Excellent units that can handle endgame content but have more restrictions, weaker teams, or occasional defensive risk.

B Tier: Strong situational choices that need the right fight, rotation, or partners.

C Tier: Aging or niche characters. Still usable, but I rarely build around them for modern SUPER 3-level content.

A unit can also move dramatically depending on the stage.

An enemy that disables dodge makes a dodge-heavy character much less attractive. A long fight helps stacking units. A short fight benefits characters with huge entrance buffs.

That is why there will never be one perfect universal list.

   B. Current Meta, Update Date, and Anniversary Context

This dragon ball z dokkan battle tier list is updated for October 21, 2026.

The 11th Anniversary happened earlier this year, while the Global Dokkan Campaign ran through October 20.

GDC released six major headline LRs across three thematic sections:

Planet Namek Saga

  • Super Saiyan Goku

  • Frieza (Final Form)

Androids/Cell Saga

  • Super Saiyan Gohan (Youth)

  • Perfect Cell

Majin Buu Saga

  • Buu (Kid)

  • Super Saiyan 3 Goku

The campaign also introduced permanent high-difficulty stages built specifically around these units, while power creep has made current bosses much less forgiving than the content older LR rankings were based on.

The meta is now heavily focused on:

damage reduction,

guard,

high dodge,

massive post-Super defense,

enemy attack manipulation,

support,

and safe slot-one options.

   C. Ranking Criteria

   Leader Skills

Modern premium units frequently lead extremely broad category combinations, sometimes reaching 200%, 220%, or similarly powerful conditional totals.

A fantastic unit with a terrible leader skill can still be useful.

A fantastic unit with a fantastic leader skill changes your entire box.

   Link Skills

A character does not fight alone.

I care about whether the unit shares important links such as:

Prepared for Battle

Big Bad Bosses

Super Saiyan

Fierce Battle

Legendary Power

Saiyan Roar

and category-specific Ki links.

A theoretically stronger unit can feel worse when I constantly struggle to reach 18 or 24 Ki.

   Categories

More categories mean more teams and usually better aging.

Goku units tend to have ridiculous category access.

Specialized villains such as Cell can be extremely strong but are much more dependent on receiving proper team support.

   Super Attack Type

Super Attack effects matter as much as the damage.

I especially value:

stacking DEF,

raising DEF for several turns,

supporting allies,

lowering enemy ATK where allowed,

guaranteed critical hits,

EX Super Attacks,

and defensive effects triggered through attacking.

II. Best Characters Overall

   A. Top 10 LRs

This is my practical late-October 2026 top ten.

   1. Super Saiyan 3 Goku – 2026 GDC

The new SSJ3 Goku is my current number-one overall pick.

He combines tremendous damage with a kit that remains useful in brutal modern fights instead of simply producing pretty attack numbers.

His Unit Super mechanics and strong Majin Buu Saga compatibility make him particularly scary when properly supported.

He is also one of the GDC characters I expect to age well because his value is not tied to one fragile gimmick.

   2. Buu (Kid) – 2026 GDC

It feels strange that Dokkan waited this long to deliver a headline LR Kid Buu, but at least the result is worth it.

Kid Buu has:

excellent healing,

huge offensive potential,

very strong defensive tools,

and excellent synergy with modern Majin Power/Sworn Enemies setups.

Once he builds up, he becomes absurd.

His main limitation is team flexibility compared with a Goku unit. His best environment is much narrower.

Inside that environment, however, he is ridiculous.

   3. Super Saiyan Goku – Namek GDC

The new Namek Super Saiyan Goku is one of the safest all-around investments from the entire celebration.

His biggest advantages are:

excellent links,

a broad range of teams,

good leader value,

defensive utility,

and extremely high damage.

He does have team restrictions if you want every part of his passive consistently active, especially outside Planet Namek Saga setups.

Even with that limitation, he remains one of the game's best units.

   4. Goku (Ultra Instinct -Sign-) + Super Saiyan God SS Evolved Vegeta

The 11th Anniversary pairing remains elite.

Their offensive ceiling is huge, while the defensive mechanics and anniversary-level kit still hold up even after GDC power creep.

They are also easier to fit onto top Saiyan-based teams than many Extreme Class units.

This is one of those characters where I rarely regret seeing them in my opening rotation.

   5. Frieza (Final Form) – 2026 GDC

Frieza was one of the standout Part 1 GDC releases.

He brings:

powerful Extreme Class value,

excellent offense,

a strong modern leader setup,

and useful synergy with several villain teams.

The biggest issue is not Frieza himself.

Extreme Class team building is more sensitive to links and releases than throwing six elite Gokus together.

If you have the supporting box, Frieza feels incredible.

   6. Super Saiyan 4 Goku (DAIMA)

The 11th Anniversary SSJ4 DAIMA Goku remains a monster.

Guard, damage reduction, strong damage, support and excellent Saiyan category access give him the kind of complete design that survives power creep better than a pure glass cannon.

He is particularly comfortable because I do not need a perfect rotation for him to contribute.

   7. Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta + Super Saiyan 4 Goku

This 11th Anniversary LR remains one of my favorite GT characters.

The pairing provides:

excellent defensive scaling,

strong links,

high damage,

team support,

and access to several powerful categories.

The ability to work naturally alongside other modern GT monsters such as Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta gives them a very comfortable team.

   8. Super Saiyan Gohan (Youth) – 2026 GDC

Gohan is arguably the most controversial GDC headline.

His ceiling is excellent, and his leader skill is one of his biggest strengths.

In longer fights, he can become much more impressive than his early turns suggest.

The problem is modern Dokkan does not always give you time to become impressive.

A boss capable of launching an outrageous turn-one Super does not care that your Gohan would have become incredible on Turn 7.

I still rank him highly, especially because of his teams.

   9. Perfect Cell – 2026 GDC

Cell is much stronger than his team sometimes makes him look.

His defensive ceiling can become absurd when the correct Super/EX Super sequence happens, and his healing and offensive output make him an excellent individual character.

The problem is his supporting ecosystem.

A Cell team does not currently have the same effortless depth as a top Saiyan team.

Give Cell another major premium partner and his ranking could jump quickly.

   10. Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta

The 2025 AGL Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta is still hanging around because his kit was built to survive.

He has:

guard,

50% damage reduction,

additional Super Attacks,

critical-hit potential,

Ki Blast nullification/countering,

excellent links,

and a 220% GT Heroes leader skill.

Newer characters have overtaken him, but he is still far too complete to call outdated.

   B. Top 10 TURs

TURs are much less dominant than LRs in the 2026 meta, but several are still ridiculous.

My current list is:

   1. TEQ Metal Cooler

Metal Cooler is the TUR I trust most.

His kit can include ridiculous levels of:

damage reduction,

dodge,

support,

healing,

debuff utility,

and Giant Form value.

He also became the centerpiece of one of 2026's best Extreme teams after multiple Cooler-family buffs.

There are LRs I trust less than this TUR.

   2. Dabura

Dabura went from a character Dokkan barely respected to one of the nastiest TUR releases in the game.

His damage can become absurd, his leader skill supports useful Extreme setups, and his defensive performance is far better than older Dabura cards ever offered.

His main weakness is category access.

If Dabura had Goku-level categories, I would use him everywhere.

   3. AGL Super Saiyan God Goku

God Goku remains one of the easiest premium TURs to recommend because he is flexible.

Good links, useful teams, strong defense and respectable offense make him an excellent box piece even when he is not the flashiest unit.

   4. TEQ Turles

Turles has excellent value in the current Extreme environment.

He works particularly well beside Terrifying Conquerors and Movie Bosses setups, and modern Extreme teams finally give him enough partners to shine.

   5. STR Final Form Cooler – EZA

The EZA gave one of Dokkan's most famous Extreme TURs another life.

Cooler provides excellent offensive support and fits naturally into the modern Metal Cooler/Frieza ecosystem.

   6. Buu (South Supreme Kai)

The GDC banner unit is far better than the phrase “banner unit” makes him sound.

He helps modern Majin Power teams, works naturally beside LR Kid Buu, and provides exactly the kind of team support a specialist lineup needs.

   7. AGL Ginyu – EZA

Ginyu remains useful because he does several things well:

stacks,

heals,

supports,

and leads a workable Namek-focused team.

GDC reduced how essential he feels, but he is still a very good TUR.

   8. INT Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta – EZA

His EZA returned an iconic unit to relevance.

He has strong offense, useful defensive tools and excellent GT synergy.

He is especially easy to use on SSJ4-heavy teams.

   9. Tamagami Number Two

Some of the DAIMA F2P/TUR characters dramatically overperformed expectations.

Tamagami Number Two can produce genuine endgame-level turns when his conditions line up.

His narrow setup keeps him below the premium all-purpose options.

   10. Frieza (2nd Form) / Other Current GDC Banner Specialists

The final position changes based on the team I am building.

The GDC banner characters and modern category specialists often outperform older famous Dokkan Fest TURs simply because their kits were designed around 2026 bosses.

   C. Best F2P Units and Best SSRs

   Best F2P Units

F2P units matter most for:

category missions,

Dokkan Battlefield,

Dokkan Frontier,

Prime Battle,

and filling out a new account.

The 2026 DAIMA F2P characters are particularly good by free-unit standards, with the Tamagami units capable of contributing to genuinely difficult stages under their correct teams.

Modern F2P Cell Jr. characters are also surprisingly useful when building around Perfect Cell.

My advice is simple:

Farm every modern F2P unit to 100% Hidden Potential whenever practical.

You may not need them today.

A category mission six months later may suddenly make them essential.

   Best SSRs

I do not maintain a serious “SSR tier list” because almost every SSR worth discussing is intended to be awakened.

An SSR that awakens into a top LR is obviously more valuable than an SSR that caps at an old UR.

Judge SSRs by their final awakening, not their unawakened card.

III. Tier List by Rarity

   A. LR Tier List

   S Tier

Super Saiyan 3 Goku (2026 GDC)

Kid Buu (2026 GDC)

Namek Super Saiyan Goku (2026 GDC)

UI Goku + SSBE Vegeta

Final Form Frieza (2026 GDC)

SSJ4 Goku (DAIMA)

SSJ4 Vegeta + SSJ4 Goku

   A Tier

GDC Gohan

GDC Perfect Cell

AGL SSJ4 Gogeta

Future Gohan/Trunks

strong modern EZAs such as PHY SSJ3 Goku + SSJ2 Vegeta

other 2025–2026 premium LRs with reliable defensive mechanics

   B Tier

Older 2024–2025 premium LRs that still have good utility but cannot consistently tank current bosses.

   C Tier

Older LRs relying mainly on raw DEF or attack stats without modern defensive mechanics.

   B. TUR and UR Tier List

   S Tier

TEQ Metal Cooler

Dabura

AGL God Goku

TEQ Turles

   A Tier

EZA STR Cooler

South Supreme Kai Buu

EZA AGL Ginyu

EZA INT SSJ4 Gogeta

high-end category specialists

   B Tier

Older Dokkan Fest units with good EZAs but inconsistent slot-one performance.

   C Tier

Power-crept TURs that can still clear older Red Zone or category content but struggle in new SUPER 3 fights.

   C. All Units Tier List

The biggest gap in modern Dokkan is not LR versus TUR.

It is:

units with modern survival mechanics

versus:

units without them.

I would rather run a TUR with 80% damage reduction than an older LR with twice the visible DEF and no way to survive a 15-million-damage Super Attack.

Rarity is not the deciding factor anymore.

IV. Tier List by Type

   A. PHY and AGL Units

   Best PHY

Current PHY standouts include:

UI Goku + SSBE Vegeta

EZA SSJ3 Goku + SSJ2 Vegeta

and several elite modern support/EZA characters.

PHY has some of the strongest reliable Saiyan options in the game.

   Best AGL

Namek Super Saiyan Goku is the clear modern headliner.

Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta remains excellent.

AGL also has useful EZAs and several strong dodge-oriented units.

   B. STR and TEQ Units

   Best STR

SSJ4 Goku (DAIMA) remains elite.

GDC Super Saiyan Gohan (Youth) gives STR another top premium LR.

Modern STR Blue/Saiyan options and several EZAs make Super STR a particularly deep Battlefield type.

   Best TEQ

Perfect Cell is one of the strongest modern TEQ LRs.

TEQ also owns Metal Cooler, arguably the best TUR in the game.

Older TEQ Vegito remains an offensive specialist after EZA but now needs much more protection than the current elite.

   C. INT Units

INT is ridiculous in late 2026.

It includes:

Super Saiyan 3 Goku

Kid Buu

SSJ4 Vegeta + SSJ4 Goku

plus several strong EZAs and support options.

If I had to build one mono-type team for difficult Battlefield stages right now, Super INT would be one of my first choices.

V. Top Character Spotlights

   A. TEQ Vegito, Gogeta, and the SSJ Trio

   TEQ Vegito

TEQ Vegito used to sit near the top of every list after his EZA.

His offense can still become outrageous after transformation, but modern enemies punish his early turns and defensive limitations far harder.

I use him when:

the stage structure suits his transformation,

I can protect his weaker turns,

and I want a massive offensive finish.

I do not treat him as a universal slot-one answer anymore.

   Gogeta

AGL SSJ4 Gogeta remains the easiest Gogeta to recommend for modern general use.

He is built with so many defensive layers that he survives power creep better than most older damage-first units.

   Super Saiyan Trio

The various SSJ Goku/Vegeta/Trunks-style units remain useful because Super Saiyan teams naturally contain excellent partners.

Their exact ranking depends heavily on whether they have received an EZA and what current category you are running.

They are generally better team pieces than isolated “big number” characters because their links fit so naturally into Saiyan rotations.

   B. Goku Forms

   SSJ3 Goku

The new GDC LR is currently one of the strongest units in the entire game.

Enough said.

   SSJ4 Goku

DAIMA SSJ4 Goku remains a premium 11th Anniversary unit.

Older GT SSJ4 Goku versions have fallen significantly unless updated through EZA/SEZA.

   Ultra Instinct Goku

Modern UI units remain strong because dodge is incredibly valuable in the current endgame.

The catch is obvious:

dodge-canceling bosses exist.

Never build an entire strategy around dodge without checking the stage.

   Angel Goku

Angel Goku units frequently benefit from excellent Otherworld Warrior, Fusion, and Majin Buu Saga partners.

Some older Angel Goku/Vegeta combinations have aged well after EZA.

   Kai Goku

Kai Goku and Kaioken-style cards can still provide useful offense, but current headline LRs have pushed most older versions out of the absolute top tier.

   C. Broly, Frieza, Janemba, and Cell

   Broly

Modern Broly cards still produce terrifying raw offense.

The best versions work well on Movie Bosses and Uncontrollable Power teams.

Older Brolys often suffer from weak defense despite huge attack stats.

   Frieza

The 2026 GDC Final Form Frieza is currently the Frieza I would build around.

He finally gives Namek Saga/Extreme setups a genuine modern headliner.

   Janemba

Janemba has historically been one of Dokkan's best defensive archetypes.

The problem is that he has gone far too long without a completely new headline-level LR.

Older Janemba options can still help in certain defensive teams but have largely been power-crept.

   Cell

The new Perfect Cell is individually fantastic.

His main issue is the same one Cell has had repeatedly in Dokkan:

give the man more partners.

His ceiling will rise immediately when another top Cell/Android unit arrives.

   D. Gohan, Gotenks, Trunks, and Vegeta

GDC Gohan is extremely strong when a fight allows him to develop.

Future Gohan/Trunks remains one of the most useful hybrid Saiyan options because of excellent leader and team utility.

Modern EZA Gotenks units can still be extremely dangerous offensively.

Vegeta's strongest current roles are spread across:

SSJ4 combinations,

SSBE pairings,

Majin Vegeta teams,

and recent EZA options.

Standalone Vegeta releases are often slightly less flexible than Goku simply because Goku receives more category overlap.

VI. EZAs and Unit Upgrades

   A. Best EZAs

EZA quality matters enormously because it can turn an old card you already own into something comparable with a new summon.

Current valuable upgrades include units that gain:

guard,

large damage reduction,

multiple additional Supers,

support,

ghost-usher effects,

or strong stackable DEF.

I especially value EZAs that fix the unit's original weakness rather than simply adding another 200% ATK.

A defensive EZA is much more likely to age.

Super EZAs have expanded this concept further by taking extremely old characters and giving them another stage of relevance.

Always check your box before summoning.

Sometimes a new EZA fills the exact role you were about to spend 1,000 Stones trying to obtain.

   B. Active Skills and Super Attacks

Active Skills can:

deal damage,

transform,

heal,

change Ki Spheres,

buff the rotation,

or effectively skip dangerous enemy pressure.

Do not activate them automatically when the button appears.

Saving an Active Skill for the final phase can turn a difficult run into an easy one.

Super Attack effects are equally important.

If a unit raises DEF before being attacked, placement matters.

If they stack indefinitely, you want them attacking as frequently as possible.

If an EX Super requires 24 Ki, orb planning suddenly becomes part of the strategy.

VII. Teams and Synergy

   A. Leader Skills and Categories

Your leader determines almost everything.

A great modern team usually begins with a 200%+ effective leader setup covering most of its strongest units.

Some of my favorite current cores involve:

Earth-Protecting Heroes

Power Beyond Super Saiyan

Majin Buu Saga

Sworn Enemies

Terrifying Conquerors

GT Heroes

Kamehameha

Bond of Master and Disciple

Do not simply place six high-tier units together.

If two of them miss the leader skill, they are not top tier anymore.

   B. Link Skills

Linking is one of the easiest ways to improve a team without spending anything.

For example, modern SSJ4 units can share:

Super Saiyan,

Saiyan Roar,

Shocking Speed,

GT,

Fierce Battle,

and Legendary Power.

That creates huge natural synergy.

A random Extreme rotation might share two links and constantly struggle for Ki.

Use linking tools before dismissing a character as “bad.”

   C. Best Teams and Team Builder

My strongest general teams in late 2026 include variations of:

   Golden/Super Saiyan Teams

Namek Goku

SSJ3 Goku

UI/SSBE pairing

SSJ4 DAIMA Goku

SSJ4 Gogeta

modern EZA Saiyan supports

   GT Heroes

SSJ4 Vegeta + SSJ4 Goku

SSJ4 Gogeta

SSJ4 DAIMA Goku where eligible

EZA GT Spirit Bomb units

modern GT TUR support

   Majin Power / Sworn Enemies

LR Kid Buu

modern Super Buu EZAs

Buucolo

South Supreme Kai Buu

strong Buuhan options

Majin support characters

   Terrifying Conquerors

TEQ Metal Cooler

Final Form Frieza

STR Cooler EZA

PHY Metal Cooler EZA

King Cold

Turles

This became one of my favorite villain teams during 2026.

VIII. Reroll Guide

   A. Should You Reroll?

Only during a major celebration.

Starting Dokkan during a random monthly banner and rerolling for a TUR makes very little sense.

Starting during:

Anniversary,

Global Dokkan Campaign,

Tanabata,

or another major celebration

can be worthwhile because one lucky account may begin with several elite LRs.

Even then, do not spend three days rerolling.

Dokkan gives new players huge amounts of farmable Stones.

A good account becomes great through progression, not one opening summon.

   B. Best Reroll Banner and Pity

As of October 21, the six main GDC headliner banners have ended, although their ticket summons and exchanges remain temporarily available.

The current 400 Million Downloads banner mainly focuses on returning/alternate-art value rather than introducing the next huge meta character.

For a brand-new player starting now, I would probably:

farm aggressively,

use high-value free/ticket opportunities,

and save a serious Stone reserve toward the 12th Anniversary unless an exceptional November or New Year banner appears.

Dokkan now has several safety systems.

Major celebrations can offer direct exchange for the new headliner at around 500 campaign coins, while the newer Summon Point system lets you collect points from qualifying multis and exchange 300 points for special Dokkan Festival or Carnival tickets containing selected premium units.

That is better than old Dokkan, but it is still not a cheap conventional pity system.

   C. Free Dragon Stones and Farming

New players have an enormous Stone supply.

Prioritize:

Quest Dokkan Story,

Dragon Ball Story,

Boss Rush,

Infinite Dragon Ball History,

Super Battle Road,

Extreme Super Battle Road,

Red Zone first clears,

missions,

Extreme Z-Battles,

Dokkan Frontier,

login campaigns,

and celebration missions.

The current Global Campaign Special Battle alone added dozens of Stones through its missions.

Do not buy Stones simply because you have not completed free permanent content.

IX. Beginner Guide

   A. Panel Missions and Early Progression

Finish the beginner missions first.

They teach basic:

training,

awakening,

Hidden Potential,

team building,

and event systems

while providing useful items.

Then create one strong category team.

You do not need fifteen teams during your first week.

Build one team capable of clearing Dokkan Events, awaken those characters, and use that team to unlock the rest of your box.

   B. Important Events

   Dokkan Story

This should be one of your first Stone farms.

It also provides rank EXP and permanent progression.

   Super Battle Road

SBR restricts your team by Category or Type and rewards proper box depth.

Older stages are much easier with modern units, which makes them excellent new-player Stone sources.

   Infinite Dragon Ball History

IDBH uses long multi-phase fights.

Stacking units and broad-category teams work particularly well.

   Boss Rush

One of the easiest large Stone sources for a new account.

Modern LRs destroy the early Boss Rush stages.

Do them.

   C. Banners, Summon Rates, and Simulator Use

A standard Dokkan multi usually costs:

50 Dragon Stones

for:

10 characters

with the final slot guaranteed to be SSR.

Typical major Dokkan Festival banners have roughly:

10% total SSR rate

with approximately half of that pool represented by featured SSRs, although you should always check the exact in-game rate page.

Carnival and special celebration formats can differ.

Never assume rates from one banner apply to another.

A summon simulator is useful for one reason:

it teaches you how ugly RNG can become.

Try simulating 1,000 Stones without pulling your target.

Then decide whether you still want to chase one dupe.

X. Community Tools and FAQ

   A. Community Tier Lists, Tier Makers, and DokkanStats

Modern Dokkan has excellent community tools.

Useful databases let you:

search every card,

compare leader skills,

calculate DEF,

calculate attack stats,

find linking partners,

build teams,

track your box,

view current banners,

check event bosses,

and create your own tier lists.

DokkanStats is particularly useful for team building because its community Team Browser can show how other players are using a specific leader.

I use community rankings as a starting point, not an absolute answer.

A unit ranked number eight may be number one for the particular category mission I am trying to clear.

   B. Global Dokkan Campaign Updates

The Global Dokkan Campaign 2026 ended on October 20.

Its six headliners were:

Super Saiyan Goku

Final Form Frieza

Super Saiyan Gohan (Youth)

Perfect Cell

Kid Buu

Super Saiyan 3 Goku

All six remain strong enough to influence the current dragon ball z dokkan battle tier list, with SSJ3 Goku, Kid Buu, and Namek Goku being my three biggest standouts.

The current focus has shifted to the 400 Million Downloads celebration and saving toward future banners.

The 12th Anniversary is only a few months away, so this is one of those periods where saving Stones becomes increasingly attractive.

   C. How Often Is the Tier List Updated?

After every major celebration or important EZA.

Dokkan can change dramatically in one night.

A new LR may create a completely new category team.

An EZA can turn a two-year-old unit into the missing slot-one tank for an entire archetype.

A new SUPER 3 boss can expose a unit that looked invincible against older Red Zone stages.

I would reassess the rankings after:

Anniversary,

Global Dokkan Campaign,

Tanabata,

Saiyan Day,

Golden Week,

and any major EZA/SEZA batch.

   D. Are There Codes, and Where Do I Get the Wiki or APK?

   Does Dokkan Have Codes?

Yes—promotion codes are now a real Dokkan system, even though older versions of the game did not use traditional redeem codes.

As of October 21, 2026, the current Webstore code is:

400MILLIONDOKKAN

It gives:

5 Dragon Stones

and is scheduled to remain redeemable through October 23, 2026.

To redeem modern promo codes, link Dokkan Battle to a BANDAI NAMCO ID and use the official Dokkan Webstore.

Do not confuse promo codes with:

friend IDs,

old Dokkan Scout QR codes,

or codes belonging to Dragon Ball Legends.

   Where Is the Wiki?

Several English community databases remain useful for card and event information.

I normally use current databases such as DokkanStats, Dokkan Wiki-style databases, and Dokkan-focused community discussions rather than relying on one site.

Always check the update date because a 2024 tier list is almost useless for judging 2026 endgame.

Where Should I Download the APK?

Use Google Play on Android or the App Store on iOS whenever the game is officially available in your region.

I do not recommend downloading random modified APK files from unknown sites.

An outdated or altered client can create:

update problems,

account-security risks,

compatibility issues,

or even account penalties if it modifies gameplay.

Conclusion

The biggest takeaway from this dragon ball z dokkan battle tier list is that the 2026 meta cares about survival more than ever.

The strongest character is no longer simply the one producing the biggest attack stat. A unit needs to survive increasingly ridiculous enemy Supers while still contributing damage, support, healing, or team utility.

Right now, my top overall group begins with Super Saiyan 3 Goku, Kid Buu, Namek Super Saiyan Goku, the Ultra Instinct Goku/SSBE Vegeta pairing, and Final Form Frieza. The 11th Anniversary SSJ4 units remain excellent, while GDC Gohan and Perfect Cell are powerful but more dependent on fight length or team support.

For TURs, TEQ Metal Cooler remains my number-one choice, with Dabura, AGL God Goku, Turles, and EZA STR Cooler forming the core of my next tier. Metal Cooler in particular proves that rarity alone means very little when a TUR has enough defensive mechanics and utility.

If you are a beginner, do not worry about owning the number-one unit.

Build one complete team.

Awaken everyone.

Farm free characters.

Finish Boss Rush and story content.

Collect free Dragon Stones.

Learn how leader skills and links work.

Then worry about tier rankings.

For returning players, check your EZAs before dismissing your old box. Dokkan is increasingly willing to revive old characters through Extreme Z-Awakening and Super Extreme Z-Awakening, and some of those upgrades can save you hundreds of Stones.

Most importantly, avoid chasing every banner.

The Global Dokkan Campaign just threw six new LRs at us, the 400 Million Downloads celebration is running now, and the 12th Anniversary is only a few months away. There will always be another powerful character.

Build around the units you actually own, use tier lists to identify efficient investments, and remember that a well-built A-tier unit on the right team is more useful than an S-tier character sitting outside the leader skill.

That has always been the real trick to Dokkan: the best card matters, but the best team matters more.
